Hello folks, I am Rasa Staniūnaitė, creator and seamstress at Raw linen studio. Studio is based in my hometown Vilnius, I run it solely by myself. The fabric I use in the studio comes from the oldest linen manufacturer in Lithuania. The linen fabric is loom-state, after weaving it was untreated in any way- no bleaching, dyeing, softening. This kind of fabric is more durable, it becomes soft with wearing and washing. Sewing is done by machine and hand with a 100% cotton or linen thread. I always had an interest in textiles and clothing, yet it grew markedly while studying batik and natural dyeing at Indonesia Institute of Arts.
